Weekend Wound Care Nurse

Looking for Wound Care Nurses (RN or LPN) to join our team for weekend care!\n

STATUS: PRN\/non-exempt\n

SHIFT: 8 hours\/time frame of your choice\n

We are searching for a weekend Wound Care Nurse to join our community that is patient & family focused, team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a culture. The primary purpose of your position is to monitor clinical compliance with state and federal regulations. As a Wound Certified Treatment Nurse, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.\n

Major Responsibilities \n\nAct as a liaison between the Wound Specialist Physician and the nursing staff. \nParticipate in the development and achievement of Wound Care Program and objectives.\nStaff development functions\/responsibilities. \nProvide educational programming. \nAssist in the implementation of and monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice consistent with Corporate and external regulatory guidelines. \nCollaborate amongst Interdisciplinary Team to encompass all aspects of care to promote wound healing.\nProvide direct resident care in the assessment, treatment and follow up for wound management as ordered by the physician. \nAssist in the implementation of an individualized treatment plan for each assigned resident. \nMaintain ongoing communications with physicians concerning resident care. Assist surveyors and inspectors to facilitate regulatory compliance, as per the direction of the Director of Clinical Services. \nProvide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.\n\n

Specific Requirements:\n\nMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.\nMust demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to provide care appropriate to the age-related need of the residents served.\nMust possess knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to care center function.\nMust possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.\n\n

Minimum Qualifications\n\nGraduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Must possess current Wound Care and CPR certifications. \nMinimum of one (1) year of Wound Care experience required, (2) years preferred. \nMust possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a RN or LPN in state of practice.\n\n
