Weekender Registered Nurse (RN)
Status/FTE: FT / 0.8-1.0
Shift length: 12 hours

Unit: Emergency
Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): every weekend and any holiday that falls on a weekend unless time off is previously approved
Required qualifications:
Current state RN licenseAssociate’s degree from an accredited nursing schoolBLS for Healthcare Provider upon hireACLS and PALS required within three (3) months of hireTwo (2) to four (4) years of ED experienceTNCC certification within one (1) yearPreferred qualifications:
BSN preferredCurrent ED experienceAdditional Information/Department information: Weekender RNs will work three (3) twelve (12) hour shifts every weekend (weekend is defined as Friday/Saturday/Sunday for the purposes of this position only) and shall be considered to be working a forty-eight (48) hour work week for the purposes of wages at their base wage plus appropriate differentials for actual time worked. Such RNs shall be paid a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours per week. Overtime accrual will start after forty (40) worked hours and benefits shall accrue at a full-time (1.0) rate. Weekender RNs are required to work 48 out of 52 weekends per calendar year with no more than one weekend off per month and no consecutive weekends off.
