Description

Consists of, but not limited to, loading and weighing trucks according to DOT rules and Martin Marietta policies and procedures.  Accurately enter information into ticketing system and build rapport with customers.  Communicate with dispatchers, customers, owner operators, supervisors and all levels of personnel.  Execute all Martin Marietta Materials Inc. policies and procedures.  This position will be at our Hassayampa Sand and Gravel Location. RequirementsFriendly, courteous, and professional with internal and external customersCustomer service focusAble to procure weighmaster license within 120 daysDemonstrates attention to detail & organizational skillsSelf-starter, takes initiative in problem solving while excelling under pressureDisplays a team attitudeFlexibility to work overtime and weekends as neededWillingness to procure weighmaster license within 90 daysBilingual (Spanish) preferredStrong communication skillsMust be at least 18 years oldPrevious scale operator experience preferredDependable, self-motivated and positive attitude when working with others in a teamAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh ethical standardsProactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environmentAble to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check and physicalAble to travel between aggregate locations when neededMinimum Education and ExperienceExperience in the construction industry with preferred aggregates or asphalt emphasis.Proven customer service skills and attention to detail.Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSafety – compliance with all company safety policies and procedures and ability to communicate importance of safety to customers  Interpersonal Communication Skills –excellent verbal/written to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.Technology Capabilities - proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and internal systemsReliability - Self-starter with excellent planning and administrative skills; excellent time management skillsEthics and integrity – comply with best practices; and strict compliance with the Company’s Ethics policy and Code of ConductCustomer Service – Ability to build strong customer relationships
