Welcome Gate Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Welcome Gate Supervisor is responsible for not only greeting guests as they arrive, but for overseeing the Welcome Gate Team in its entirety.  He or she must be familiar with resort facilities, directions, associate relations, daily operations, and resort updates. Welcoming guests arriving to and from the property in an enthusiastic and courteous manner is imperative to the success of all Welcome Gate Associates, but the Supervisor will set the standard for the team as a whole.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supervises daily functions of associates, develops performance standards, trains employees, and directs on-going tasks. Remains friendly, always meets changing and/or multiple demands while staying calm under stress. Organizing the schedule of the team and balancing the differing needs of each associate while also ensuring the operational needs are being met. Attending weekly meetings to stay up to date on important updates, then relaying it effectively and efficiently to the team to ensure they’re well informed. Greet guests upon their arrival.  Assist guests by providing clear and thorough directions.  Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Welcome Gate, inside and out. Maintain steady traffic flow through the gate. Greet and make eye contact with passing guests. Stand in posted position presenting a polite, professional image, awaiting guest requests. Provide information regarding all facilities and services. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance at all times. Addressing guests' needs and maintaining positive relationships to ensure guest satisfaction. Utilizing Forbes standards during all in-person and phone communication and ensures all Welcome Gate associates are trained on these standards. Ensuring that guests' requests are addressed in a prompt and efficient manner. Other duties assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or equivalent required Valid driver's license required. Previous supervisory experience required. Previous customer service experience preferred. Ability to speak English fluently. Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to move, lift, carry, and/or pull objects up to 50 pounds without assistance. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
