**Job Title:** Weld Engineer **Overview** : We are looking for a Weld Engineer to develop new welding procedures and methods while serving as a liaison between engineering and Header Bay personnel. This role involves communication with customers regarding welding issues and managing the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Report (PQR) databases. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and implement welding procedures. - Communicate with customers on welding-related issues. - Review and assign WPS for various projects. - Maintain welder qualifications per AWS and CWB standards. - Calculate weld consumables and coordinate Pressure Equipment Directive Certification. - Assist with audits, root cause investigations, and provide recommendations. **Qualifications:** - 1 year of post-high school education related to welding required (Vo-tech, military, or community college). - Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering. - Knowledge of ASME BPVC Section VIII, Division 1 & Section IX and AWS D1.1 standards. - Understanding of material strength and welding metallurgy. - Preferred certifications include AWS: CWI, CWEng, SCWI; CWB: Certified Welding Supervisor; API: 510, 570, 653. **Skills Required:** - Strong teamwork and communication skills. - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain punctual attendance.
