Job Title: Weld Leader | 1st shift (4) 10's | $22-$25/hr to start | Canton, OH

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Weld Leader to join our team. This role involves leading the weld fabrication department, performing MIG welding primarily on structural steel, and fabricating parts from blueprints. You will also be responsible for using overhead cranes, hand and power tools, and performing some grinding, torch cutting, and finishing.

ResponsibilitiesLead the weld fabrication department alongside the Fabrication Supervisor.Perform MIG welding on structural steel and occasionally stainless steel.Fabricate and fit parts together based on blueprints.Conduct horizontal and vertical welding.Use overhead cranes to position materials and tack beams in place.Utilize hand and power tools to ensure parts fit together properly.Perform grinding, torch cutting, and finishing as needed.Essential SkillsCertified welder with MIG welding experience on structural steel.Proven leadership or supervisory experience.Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.Proficiency in vertical welding.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust have valid welding certification.Must have own tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, tape measure, pliers, etc.).At least 2 years of working experience or graduation from a welding school with AWS certifications.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st shift from 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, with additional hours on Fridays. The work environment is safe and clean but can appear unorganized due to high activity levels. Teamwork is highly valued, and you will collaborate with approximately 180 colleagues in both manufacturing and office settings. The dress code requires steel toe boots and safety glasses.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00
