**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Utilize welding equipment to make repairs to discontinuities of submerged arc weld seams on steel pipe. **Responsibilities** + Perform various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations. + Utilize welding equipment to repair discontinuities of submerged arc weld seams on steel pipe. + Proficiently use MIG and flux core welding techniques. + Interpret and work from blueprints and customer specifications. + Set up welding parameters such as amps and volts. + Inspect and certify welding processes. + Perform finish grinding applications using manual and power tools. + Maintain welding equipment. + Utilize various hand tools and equipment. + Use mobile device applications and programs. + Maintain safety and housekeeping standards. + Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Proficient in assigned welding techniques. + Working knowledge of fixtures and weld set-up parameters (amps, volts, etc.). + Ability to use conventional and precision measuring instruments. + Experience in process inspection, certification, and documentation. + Skilled in welding equipment maintenance. + Proficient in finish grinding applications using manual and power tools. + Ability to utilize various hand tools and equipment. + Ability to use mobile device applications and programs. + Commitment to safety and housekeeping standards. + Successful completion of an internal welding test. + One-year experience in various forms of welding preferred. + Ability to work in changing ambient temperatures. + Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time. + Reliable transportation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Welding (1 year) preferred. + Steel toe boots and sleeved shirts & welding hood required. + Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, and protective gloves provided. **Why Work Here?** We offer a flexible schedule, 401(k) with employer matching, additional retirement benefits through an ESOP (100% Employee-Owned Plan), monthly production incentives, and quarterly profit sharing. Employees may be required to perform additional tasks such as sweeping and picking up during downtime. Shifts are Monday-Thursday with occasional mandatory work on Fridays.
