Responsibilities
Position Summary
The welder joins metal parts using high heat application to form a permanent bond.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materialsPlaning work by interpreting welding symbols on blueprintsDetermining welding position and type of metal to be fusedSelecting and setting up welding equipmentEnsuring welds meet standards and specificationsUsing heat from an electric arc to cut and trim metal objectsEmployees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures. Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate or Associate degree in weldingMinimum 3 year of structural welding experience Good mechanical aptitudeAbility to read blueprintsKnowledge of hand tools and power toolsGood communication skillsKnowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniquesSelf-motivated and detail-orientedTeam orientationCrane operation certification required Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required
