Welder 2/Welder 3
Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking a Welder 2/3 to join our team. This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility located Promontory, UT.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Comply with all safety and environmental requirements
Work in a team environment with ability to interface with all levels of employees
Excellent written and oral communication
Detail oriented and meticulous.
Able to work a physically demanding day (stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; lift, bend, twist push and pull up to 50 lbs.) while wearing protective equipment (respirator, coveralls, gloves, eye and ear protection, etc.)
Able to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation
Perform basic math and measurement functions
Must be willing to perform shift work, weekends, holidays and overtime as required
Must possess a valid state driver’s license
Basic Qualifications:
This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.
Basic Qualifications for a level 2:
High School Diploma, prefer an AAS Welding Certification
Minimum of 2 years welding experience
Must be a U.S. citizen
Basic Qualifications for a level 3:
High School Diploma, prefer an AAS Welding Certification
Minimum of 4 years welding experience
Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge of welding equipment, machinery, and filler materials
Ability to meet American Welding Society, Class A, B, and C welds using the following methods and materials:
GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, Oxy Acetylene, in all positions
Aluminum, Carbon Steel, Stainless steel, and applicable alloys
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications
Additional Requirements:
Successful candidate must be able to pass a background check for the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA)

This position’s standard work schedule is a 4/10.
Salary Range: $42,000.00 - $70,000.00Salary Range 2: $49,900.00 - $83,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
