WelderPay: $25/hr  A metal supplier in the Dallas area is looking for driven, talented people to join their team. As a Member of This Team:Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment, to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positionsOperate safety equipment and use safe work habitsLay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulersExamine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specificationsWeld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloysClamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for weldingSelect and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metalsDetermine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniquesMonitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materialAnalyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operationsMark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as requiredPrepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring that there is no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matterDetect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisorsClean or degrease parts, using wire brushes, portable grinders, or chemical bathsRepair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torches, straightening presses, and hand toolsFill holes and increase the size of metal partsFabricating the product to the P.V. specs or drawings using the correct material thickness width and length also weld procedures You Will Need:1+ years industrial fabrication welding experience; may be required to pass a weld testAble to read and follow blueprints and job specificationsBasic computer skillsHS Diploma or GEDVocational school or related on-the-job experienceAttention to detail – being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasksDependability – being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligationsAdaptability/flexibility Able to work independently Benefits of Joining the Team:Eligible to enroll in medical, dental and vision insuranceWeekly pay periodsDirect Deposit offered Your Career Partner:Veteran-founded and family-owned, The Reserves Network specializes in connecting exceptional talent with rewarding opportunities.
