Job Summary

Assembler III is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Must be experienced and reliable in using a welder and welding product. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to operate welder and welding machinery and toolsCompletes work area set upFits parts together in accordance with prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standardsOperates equipment and tools as required to complete assembly processPrevents and controls waste of raw materialConduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standardsEnsures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operateCompletes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concernsMaintains a clean and orderly work environmentProvides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when requiredMaintains production records as requiredPerforms duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standardsParticipates in safety, CI and other programs and meetingsPerforms other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Working knowledge of Company products and specificationsAbility to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsAbility and skill to MIG weld and operate fabrication shop machineryAbility to measure accuratelyWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to a shop environmentEffective communication, teamwork, production, and stress management skillsAbility to easily adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environmentAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with or without using a calculatorComputer literate
