Ensuring Chart’s Success… What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be… Independently performs moderate to complex welding activities, including hand welding  Welds metal parts on fixtures including attaching jigs and clamps to hold metal parts in proper position Determines type and gauge of steel to be welded making appropriate heat adjustments, as required, on large thickness variations Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels, as well as correct components installed on the finished product Updates and maintains all required documentation associated with job responsibilities Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment Understands and practices established safety and quality standard procedures, including utilization of chemical solutions to clean containers Performs all tasks to ISO standards and requirements May be required to perform mass spec and visual inspections meeting stringent visual requirements Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management Your Education Should Be…

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this role, including close vision. color evaluations and the ability to adjust to focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. Medium to loud noise level in the work environment.

Your Professional Experience Should Be… Minimum 3 years TIG welding experience Must pass 3G weld test and other weld tests including square butt, fillet, and groove joints depending on specific job requirements Experience interpreting blueprints and bill of materials (BOM) Basic math skills (weight measurement, volume, distance, multiplication and division) Attention to detail essential Self-starter capable of managing workload under minimal direction and supervision Proven ability to identify, reason and problem solve non-conformities and deviations  Must be able to use and accurately measure using tape measure, micrometer and calipers Chart is an equal opportunity employer...
