**Now Hiring for TIG Welders in Winsted** **Job Description** As a TIG Welder, you will be responsible for TIG Welding (50%) and assembly (50%) of various types of process equipment for the food industry. All equipment is stainless food grade. You will weld and assemble pipes and pipe parts in acid-resistant stainless steel using TIG welding (pulsating), both manual and mechanized methods. The role requires the ability to crawl in and out of containers, perform process checks according to quality requirements, rework labor work sheets and submit them, and participate in daily improvement activities. **Shift/Pay** 1st Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm with the possibility of flex early at 5,00am, (Monday-Friday) OT available up to 8-10 hours 2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 1:00am Monday - Thursday $25-$33/hr Depending on Experience **Qualifications** Must be able to read prints, TIG weld and hit the ground running. Must have TIG Welding Experience OR a degree Willingness to learn and great attitude if you cant pass below weld test. Weld is in the 6g position on 2 1/2" sch 40 pipe with a 45 degree bevel. • Pipe will be slammed together with no gap. • They want to see it done in 3 passes. • Root pass with FULL penetration, then fill pass to flush with the pipe, and finally a cover pass without undercut. *** Need full penetration on the root pass**** We will conduct a test on very small diameter tubing (less than 3/8" but more than 1/4") and will need to show some fillet welds on T-plates. **If Interested PLEASE APPLY!
