How You Will Make an Impact: As a full time company Welder you will be responsible for delivering excellent results with many different projects using multiple welding techniques and using your skills with reading blue prints. Responsibilities: + Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project. + Sourcing the materials to be used in the project. + Measuring and cutting materials to specifications. + Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together. + Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints. + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. + Ability to read blueprints. + Knowledge of metallurgy. + Knowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding. + Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques. + Taking measurements to plan layout and procedures. + Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements + Setting up components for welding according to specifications. + Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. + Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. + Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements. + Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded. + Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces. + Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead). + Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps. + Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. + Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. + Able to work alone and stay motivated while working in the field or on projects. Minimum Requirements: + Minimum of 2 years of related experience + Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record + Experience in coordinating system integration with other systems preferred + Oil and Gas, or Manufacturing and Logistics experience preferred + Experience troubleshooting various control systems, including analog, digital, serial and Ethernet circuits + Ability to analyze and/or design business processes end-to-end + Ability to communicate and interact effectively at both technical and business level + Strong team player with proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally Physical Demands: + Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the site/facility. + Frequently lift 65 lbs. or more. + Frequently climbs ladders and stairs.
