**Job Title: Welder - Arc and Gas Welding Specialist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Welder specializing in arc and gas welding on a wide variety of metals and their alloys. This role involves working on commercial and military fabrications with critical safety and load requirements. The ideal candidate will be able to plan, layout, and perform diversified fabrication work, and will require certification to qualified procedures in accordance with Mil-STD 248, ASME Section IX, or other code compliance specified by customer contracts. **Responsibilities** + Perform arc and gas welding on various metals and their alloys. + Work on commercial and military fabrications involving critical safety and load requirements. + Plan, layout, and execute diversified fabrication work. + Determine proper machine settings, gas, and filler selections for specific base metal and process applications. + Operate ring roller and associated equipment as required. + Work from specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols. + Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor in the same salary grade or below. **Essential Skills** + Certification in accordance with Mil-STD 248, ASME Section IX, or other code compliance specified by customer contracts. + Ability to plan, layout, and perform diversified fabrication work. + Proficiency in determining machine settings, gas, and filler selections for various applications. + Experience with ring roller and associated equipment. + Ability to work from specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1 year of prior welding experience. + Technical degree in welding. + Vocational or high school education or equivalent. + On-the-job training to learn trade techniques and procedures. **Why Work Here?** Join a unionized work environment that guarantees wage increases based on hours worked.
