**Job Title: Welder** $30-$40/hr **Job Description** The Welder is responsible for the welding service, maintenance, and repair of small to large marine vessels. The Welder will perform random maintenance on vessels and fabricate custom prototypes from supplied drawings. Proficiency in setting up and welding mild steel using pulsed GMAW push-pull welding equipment in all positions is required. The Welder must produce sound welds at a consistent rate to maintain both schedule and quality of vessels in production. **Responsibilities** + Set up and weld mild steel FLUX CORE using pulsed GMAW push-pull welding equipment in all positions to produce sound welds at a consistent rate. + Read and interpret drawings and blueprints. + Use welding equipment and manual flame-cutting equipment. + Complete repairs, modifications, and retrofits. + Maintain a clean and orderly work environment. **Essential Skills** + 2-3 years’ experience welding mild steel and aluminum (CSA Standard W47.2) & MIG (GMAW) Processes. + Experience in Flux Core (FCAW) All Position Welding Processes. + Reading and interpreting blueprints. + Spool gun experience. + Welding in ALL positions including overhead. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Fitting Experience. + Forklift experience. + Confined Space. + CWB ticket in all positions. + Strong safety mindset. + Quality oriented. + Strong problem-solving abilities. + Responsible and positive team attitude. + Ability to work independently in a busy environment. **Why Work Here?** + Weekly pay + Immediate benefits + We offer an annual fishing trip with company-paid meals and lodging + RRSP matching after the first year & extended benefits + Free parking on site + Provided tools and coveralls + Opportunities for leather jackets and welding helmets + Pizza lunches, food truck visits, and prize giveaways. **Work Environment** The work environment includes working both indoors in confined spaces and outdoors, working in the yard, and some tasks may be done 25 feet high. The role involves working with wire feed welding machines. The dress code includes steel-toed safety boots, a welding helmet, and safety glasses/goggles provided by the company.
