**Job Title: combo welder/fitter** **per diem $150 days worked** **Job Description** Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process. Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness. Utilize commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the welding field. Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. **Responsibilities** + Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques. + Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the correct welding process. + Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness. + Apply knowledge of commonly-used welding concepts, practices, and procedures. + Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions. **Essential Skills** + Mig welding + Flux core welding + Stick welding + Pulse welding + Fabrication skills + Blueprint reading + Fitting skills + 3+ years of welding experience + Ability to read blueprints + Experience welding on various structures including ships, power generation, and submarine framing **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Flux and Pulse Welding **Why Work Here?** Be part of a growing company that is looking to double its welding team in the next 2 months.
