**Job Title: MIG Welder** **Job Description** We are looking for a dedicated MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in welding on mild carbon steel in various positions and will be comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and the physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. **Responsibilities** + Weld on mild carbon steel (7-14 gauge, mainly 12 gauge) in horizontal, vertical, and circular positions. + Use a grinder and other hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and hammers. + Read blueprints occasionally to guide welding projects. + Use a hand cart to pull orders and transport materials as needed. + Complete projects within the allotted target time, which can range from 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on experience and product complexity. + Operate a hydraulic welding table. + Spend approximately 90% of the day performing MIG welding and 10% transporting materials and using hand tools. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in MIG welding. + Ability to read a tape measure accurately. + Experience welding in vertical, horizontal, and circular positions. + Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1-2 years of experience welding in a manufacturing environment is preferred. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package that kicks in 90 days after direct hire. The facility is not well-lit and is a dirty, heavy industrial environment. Currently, there are 36 welders on the first shift and 15 on the second shift. The candidate will work independently in their own welding booth but will interact with their team lead or supervisor throughout the day. PPE, including steel-toe boots, eye protection, hoods, gloves, and sleeves, is required and provided.
