**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled welder who is proficient in MIG welding. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask between welding and other fabrication department tasks. You will work from engineering drawings and Bill of Materials to fabricate and weld components, and adjust the welder as needed to accommodate varying thicknesses of steel. You will also operate a variety of hand/power tools and measuring devices, as well as an overhead crane and forklift if certified. The position involves working in either the Panel Welding or Tank Welding departments, with specific welding techniques required for each. **Responsibilities** + Perform MIG welding on various components. + Multitask between welding and other fabrication tasks. + Work from engineering drawings and Bill of Materials to fabricate and weld components. + Adjust welding equipment to accommodate varying thicknesses of steel. + Operate welder, grinder, drill, and a variety of hand/power tools and measuring devices. + Operate overhead crane and forklift, if certified. + Perform basic straight line welding in the Panel Welding department. + Perform vertical, horizontal, and overhead welding in the Tank Welding department. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in MIG welding. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Fabrication skills. + Experience with operating welding equipment and hand/power tools. + Forklift operation certification is a plus. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + D1-1 certification required for Tank Welders. + D1-3 certification is a bonus for Tank Welders. + Experience with heavier gauge, galvanized steel process. **Why Work Here?** Join a family-owned company with ample opportunities for growth, as we are expanding with a new building. The work environment varies depending on the department: Panel Welders operate in a building with three shifts (1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM + OT; 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM + OT; 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM + OT), while Tank Welders work at a location with two shifts (1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM + OT; 3rd Shift: 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM + OT).
