Summary:The Welder position supports the assembly of rapid deployment equipment, mobile tactical shelters, air mobile containers and

palletized systems for the military’s ability to mobilize, deploy, maneuver, and sustain forces.

Comply with all requirements of the Job Safety Analysis for this position.

Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards and be quality conscious.

Comply with all requirements of the waste handling training and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stand or Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 2 hours at a time per the CBA.

Walk/ Move/ Squat:Perform operations walking, squatting, and some minor twisting up to 2 hours at a time per the CBA.

Use of hands/ fingers:Weld aluminum and steel products to part drawings, blueprints, or other instructions. See/ Identify/ Observe: Know TIG, MIG, and ARC welding. Troubleshoot potential machine/machining problems as required and assist on repairs.

Read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.

Certification in welding to American Welding Society standards.
