**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** This role is a MIG welding role at a company that manufactures large drills for the construction industry. You will be responsible for setting up all the materials for the weld, following blueprints or work instructions to complete the weld, and welding everything together. You will be welding on material up to 1/2 inch thick in flat, vertical, and horizontal positions. You will also be responsible for performing multi-pass welds (up to 3 times) and can expect to do numerous tack welds. Initially, you will start with tack welding until fully trained in all processes, and as you show more skill, you will be able to undertake more complex welds. **Responsibilities** + Set up materials for welding. + Follow blueprints or work instructions to complete welds. + Perform welding on materials up to 1/2 inch thick. + Weld in flat, vertical, and horizontal positions. + Conduct multi-pass welds (up to 3 times). + Perform tack welds frequently. + Begin with tack welding and progress to more complex welds as skills improve. **Essential Skills** + 3 years of experience in MIG welding. + Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols. + Experience welding on steel. + Proficiency in basic math. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous fabrication experience. + Experience with brake press. **Work Environment** Hours: Day shift, Monday - Friday, 5 AM - 1:30 PM. May include an additional 1-2 hours during the week. The work environment is a smaller shop with approximately 35 people. The company is family-owned, growing, and has a friendly atmosphere with music playing in the plant. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
