Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at a leading trailer manufacturing company. This position involves MIG welding on mild steel, welding frames for trailers, and occasionally performing small fabrication duties such as cutting, bending, and assembly. You will work off of blueprints to complete your tasks.

We are bringing a lot of automation into the plant and upgrading equipment, providing opportunities to get into robotic welding. There is potential for a $1 raise after 4 months, with the possibility to test into a Welder II position that starts at a higher wage. We offer a $2 premium for the 2nd shift and there is ample room for advancement. Our schedule includes 4-10 hour shifts with Fridays and Saturdays being voluntary for overtime. We provide unlimited opportunities for growth and development.

Work Environment

Our facility operates on two shifts: 1st Shift from 5:30am to 4:00pm and 2nd Shift from 4:00pm to 3:00am. Overtime is possible for both shifts, with 8-hour workdays on Fridays being voluntary. The facility is very large and not climate-controlled, meaning it can be cool in the winters and hot in the summers. The environment is loud, so ear plugs are required. The dress code includes jeans, work-appropriate t-shirts, and steel-toe shoes. Contractors must be clean-shaven for their respirator test, although sideburns are allowed. Please note that contractors will be sent home on their first day if they do not have steel-toe shoes and will not be able to start until the following week.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00
