MAU is hiring a Welder for our client in West Columbia, SC. As a Welder, you will be key in fabricating ASME-certified pressure vessels, structural components, and other specialized projects. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Benefits Package 401k matching Life insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Short-term disability Long term disability Paid time off Shift Information Monday to Thursday | 8:00 AM to 5:15 PM Required Education and Experience 5-10+ years of experience as a welder in a manufacturing or fabrication setting Expertise in TIG, MIG, and stick welding processes General Requirements In-depth knowledge of ASME standards, welding symbols, and fabrication methods Proficient in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and schematics Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and effective problem-solving abilities Welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME) is highly desirable Preferred Requirements Experience welding exotic alloys or performing welds requiring high-precision Familiarity with CNC machinery or fabrication equipmen Knowledge of quality assurance practices in a highly regulated environment Essential Functions Perform welding operations using TIG, MIG, and stick welding techniques on materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic alloys Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications to ensure precise execution Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and adherence to safety standards Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with ASME and other relevant codes and safety standards Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to meet project requirements and resolve technical challenges Maintain a clean, organized work area, consistently following safety protocols and regulations Perform repairs and modifications to existing metal components as necessary Physical Demands Ability to stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in varying temperatures and confined spaces.
