Candidates will be primarily performing MIG welding and occasionally TIG welding on custom enclosures made of stainless steel. Each enclosure varies in size and design, making this more of a custom production job. In terms of repetitive welding, welding 50 of the same unit is considered a large quantity. The welding process involves welding four sides of the boxes to a back plate both vertically and horizontally. Candidates will work from blueprints, although strong blueprint reading experience is not a requirement. All welding will be done at a bench, and each person is required to grind, finish, and polish their own welds to a grade 4 finish.
