Fabrication Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Welder to join our job shop team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques, fabrication processes, and blueprint reading. This role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and other technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components. Measure and cut metal materials to specified dimensions using various cutting tools and equipment. Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders. Weld mild steel and stainless steel components according to project specifications. Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a fabrication welder in a job shop environment. Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and tape measures. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Welding certifications. Experience with fabrication equipment and machinery.
