Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team for a 1st shift position, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays and weekends. This role involves machine shop assistance, grinding, parts running, and welding tasks including MIG and Fluxcore on thicker gauge steel.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the machine shop with various tasks.Perform grinding and parts running duties.Execute welding tasks including MIG and Fluxcore welding.Work with thicker gauge steel materials.Utilize hand tools and general labor skills.Interpret and work from blueprints.Participate in the fabrication and production processes.Essential SkillsExperience in grinding, production, and fabrication.Proficiency in MIG and Fluxcore welding.Ability to work with thicker gauge steel.Knowledge of tank and pipe welding.Experience with stainless steel welding.Background in machine building and machine shop operations.Competence with hand tools and general labor tasks.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a machine shop environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in an 'Old School' machine shop environment equipped with older manual machinery, including brake presses and roll presses.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gurnee, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
