**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** We are currently seeking experienced Field and Shop Welders with at least 2 years of experience. The welder and fabricator will be responsible for fabricating, layout, assembly, and welding according to shop drawings and specifications. This role involves working with miscellaneous metals, layout, fitting, and welding. Experience with MIG welding is required, and you will be welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Knowledge of tools and equipment such as Ironworker, saw, plasma table, and basic tools is essential. You will be working at heights, on a scissor lift, and in tight spaces. Reliable transportation to project sites is a must. **Responsibilities** + Fabricate, layout, assemble, and weld according to shop drawings and specifications. + Perform miscellaneous metals layout, fitting, and welding. + Utilize MIG welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. + Use tools and equipment such as Ironworker, saw, plasma table, and basic tools. + Work at heights, on a scissor lift, and in tight spaces. + Assist with installations once projects are welded and fabricated. **Essential Skills** + At least 2 years of welding and fabrication experience. + Experience with MIG welding, preferably Pulse MIG. + Strong blueprint skills to fabricate, layout, fit, and weld with minimal guidance. + Stick welding experience in the person and vertical positions. + Knowledge of tools and equipment used in welding and fabrication. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + TIG welding experience preferred. + Direct experience with miscellaneous metals highly preferred. + Thin gauge metal fabrication and welding experience. + Flexibility to work on job sites, mostly same-day travel. + Willingness to work in a small shop environment with about a dozen employees. **Why Work Here?** Join a small, growing organization that values its employees. The environment is typical of a welding and fabrication shop—loud, dirty from grinding and welded metal, with weld stations and machinery running at all times. Safety is a priority, with guards on machines and all weld gear required. Occasionally, you will assist with installations, involving travel mostly within a 2-hour commute. Travel time is paid at a straight-time wage and does not count towards overtime. The owner is often present and involved in the shop's daily operations. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of East York, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
