Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator with 3-5+ years of MIG welding experience. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading and fitting/fabrication skills. You will be responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames and parts.

ResponsibilitiesIdentify universal weld symbols and various materials.Set up and operate welding equipment.Layout, position, align, and fit components together.Read and interpret work specifications, work orders, blueprints, and schematics.Visually inspect completed welds to assure adherence to specifications.Perform air arc gouging when removing welds or preparing weld joints.Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.Accurately cut, clean, de-burr, and prep parts for welding.Use rigging and cranes/jibs.Essential Skills3-5+ years of MIG welding experience.Ability to read blueprints.Fitting and fabrication experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsComfortable performing spray arc welding.Experience with metal-cored wire/flux core welding.Ability to read and understand weld symbols.Experience working in an industrial fab shop with large-scale parts.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Fabrication Shop. Day Shift: 7:00am - 3:45pm Mon-Fri. While performing the duties of this job, you will be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
