Job Description

Class 1-3 welders are required to be safety-minded, highly productive experts who can cut, fit, and tack weld all parts of heat exchangers, vessels, and towers. Structural welding candidates will not be considered.

ResponsibilitiesCut, fit, and tack weld all parts of heat exchangers, vessels, and towers.Pass a weld qualification for each process.Read prints for required specifications and dimensions.Weld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR.Be proficient in the arc gouging process.Maintain a less than 5% X-Ray repair rate.Efficiently fix X-Ray and UT repairs.Recognize and rectify sub-standard welds to ensure product quality.Work hours outside of a standard schedule when required to achieve a task or complete a project.Perform basic tasks such as cylinder fit-ups or other minor tasks as needed.Work well with others to achieve company goals.Be a self-motivated and highly productive employee who requires minimal supervision.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years’ experience welding pressure vessels or heat exchanger components.Extensive knowledge of welding with SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW & SAW thermal processes.Ability to read prints for specifications and dimensions.Proficiency in the arc gouging process.Ability to pass a weld qualification for each process.Ability to weld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR.Ability to maintain less than a 5% X-Ray repair rate.Efficiency at fixing X-Ray and UT repairs.Punctuality and dependability with a willingness to work outside standard hours when necessary.Team player mindset.Additional Skills & QualificationsClass I-III Welder weekend night shift.Class I-III Welder weekend days.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position is in a heavy manufacturing environment with a shop that operates 24/7. Shifts include weekends with a potential shift differential. The weekend schedule options are Friday to Tuesday (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am) or Thursday to Monday (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
