**Job Title: Welder I**
**Job Description**
The Welder I performs work under close supervision. The role involves using Arc welder and electrode rods to perform tack and bead welds, as well as an oxygen/acetylene torch for cutting metals. You will operate hand and power tools to grind, bevel, fit metal parts together, and remove slag. You will also be responsible for selecting proper electrodes and holders, regulating current and time. Welding certification is preferred, and 4-5 years of experience is required.
**Responsibilities**
+ Use modification and welding (minimum AWS 3G/4G level) skills to rework cab and other components.
+ Perform welding (AWS 3G/4G) according to blueprints.
+ Learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete welding in assigned areas.
+ Fabricate components from raw stock, following detailed operator instructions, installation drawings, and blueprints.
+ Understand and articulate the production flow of an assigned product line or area.
+ Self-check work and inspect prior processes.
+ Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work area.
+ Initiate process improvements.
**Essential Skills**
+ 4-5 years of related experience.

+ Strong and consistent attention to detail.
+ Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task.
+ Team-oriented.
+ Ability to pass required welding certification tests in AWS material sections: D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6, and D9.1.
+ Understanding of AWS welding symbols.
+ Ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines.
+ Proficiency in either MIG or TIG welding steel, stainless, and aluminum.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience and/or certifications preferred.
+ Ability to read and comprehend blueprints including weld specifications at a high level.
+ Willingness to learn and rotate within various weld areas.
+ Ability to work overtime on short notice.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a clean and well-lit shop. The shop is kept organized, with stations cleaned up every day 15 minutes before the shift ends. The environment is not climate-controlled.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
**Pay:**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
**Hiring Process:**
**This is a direct hire position with the company. Aerotek is used as a third party for initial screening of candidates.**
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $58240.00/yr.
- 401k: 100% match of first 3%, and 50% match for the next 2%
- 4 Tiers: Employee only, Employee and Spouse, Employee and Children, Family. 3 plan options: PPO, HDHP Gold, HDHP Silver

- PTO: 60 hours in first 2 years, then 100 hours year 2-5, 140 hours year 5-10, 180 hours at 10 years and after
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Ephrata,PA.
