**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** The Welder will be responsible for reading blueprints and MIG welding large parts for the Nuclear industry and military submarine parts. This role involves fabrication, layout of parts, and ensuring welds meet stringent Nuclear and Military grade requirements through X-ray testing and certification by Certified Welding Inspectors. Welding will be performed in various disciplines, including GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, and Pulsed. Significant documentation is required due to government and nuclear standards. Welders will also be tasked with grinding, fitting, and finishing polishing parts. **Shift/Pay:** **2nd shift: M-F 3:40pm - Midnight** **$28.99/hr + shift differential** **Responsibilities** + Read blueprints and perform MIG welding on large parts for the Nuclear industry and military submarines. + Assist with fabrication and layout of parts. + Ensure welds pass X-ray testing and meet certification by Certified Welding Inspectors. + Perform welding in various disciplines: GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, Pulsed. + Complete necessary documentation for the welding process to meet government and nuclear standards. + Conduct VT, MT, RT, and UT tests as required. + Grind, fit, and finish polishing parts. **Essential Skills** + 4+ years of X-ray tested welding experience. + Experience with a variety of welding disciplines: GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, Pulsed. + Experience welding a variety of metals: Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum. + Strong blueprint reading skills. + Proficiency in shop math skills. + Ability to weld in multiple positions. + Comfortable operating overhead cranes and forklifts. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience welding on Inconel metal. **Why Work Here?** We offer an extremely generous benefits package, including medical and vision coverage effective 30 days after employment, dental and life coverage effective 90 days after employment, and long-term disability coverage effective after one year. Parts are moved within the facility by overhead cranes and can weigh up to 138 tons. The work environment can be intimidating but also very interesting for the right candidate. The shop is not climate-controlled, and it is a dusty and dirty environment. Safety gear, including work uniforms, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes with metatarsal covers, and ear protection, will be provided. The facility operates across two shifts and is a unionized workplace with 250 total employees. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of York, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $64459.20 - $64549.20/yr. Extremely generous Benefits package with great health care discussed at interview. Typically option for $1000 or $2500 deductible and pay about $40/pay for the coverage. PTO - After 700 hours - 1 week, After 1 year - 2 weeks Benefits: Medical/Vision coverage, effective 30 days of employment Dental/Life coverage, effective 90 days of employment Long-term Disability coverage, effective 1-year employment Holidays: 11 holidays, and you will eligible for holiday after you are employed for 30 calendar days. Paid Excused Absence: You will be eligible for 8 hours of paid excused absence after 90 days of employment. This amount will then increase to 16 hours at the beginning of the year following your start date. Then up to 24 hours the following year and ever year after that.
