**Aerotek is hiring a Welder!**
**Job Description**
The candidate in this position will start in a production role and then have the opportunity to move into a MIG welding apprentice program. We are looking for candidates who have the certification to eventually train. The MIG welder will be responsible for performing welds on various parts of displays for customers. 60 - 70% of their time will be spent welding, with the rest of their time working a punch press, or grinding material if they have experience with finish grinding.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform welds on various parts of displays for customers.
+ Work on a punch press.
+ Grind material if experienced.
+ Read and interpret blueprints.
+ Maintain equipment and components.
+ Handle equipment continuously and hold the welding gun with the dominant hand throughout the shift.
+ Stand continuously for 8-10 hours.
+ Lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
+ Bend, twist, squat, or kneel as required.
**Essential Skills**
+ MIG welding
+ Blueprint reading
+ Production experience
+ Certification in welding or currently enrolled in a welding class
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with punch press and grinding material
+ Ability to lift and handle equipment continuously

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
