**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our final assembly department. The candidate will report directly to the Welding Supervisor and Plant Manager, and will collaborate with a team of 10 other welders. The primary responsibility is to fabricate machined and cut parts together, with a focus on horizontal TIG welding, but also including welding in multiple positions. This role is predominantly TIG welding (95%) with some MIG welding (5%). Additional tasks include using hand tools like angle grinders and sanders to finish edges, and occasionally operating a tube bender, drill press, and saw. The candidate will also need to read and interpret blueprints for short-run production jobs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, primarily in horizontal positions.
+ Handle MIG welding tasks as needed.
+ Fabricate and assemble machined and cut parts.
+ Utilize hand tools such as angle grinders and sanders to finish edges.
+ Operate additional machinery including tube benders, drill presses, and saws.
+ Read and interpret blueprints specific to each job.
+ Ensure all welding and assembly meets company standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years of TIG stainless steel welding experience, particularly on 14 gauge materials.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, including symbols and tolerances.
+ Strong attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Fabrication and assembly experience.
+ Experience with machine shop tools such as lathes, Bridgeports, saws, and grinders.
+ Pipefitting skills.
+ Proficiency in MIG welding.
+ Enrollment in or completion of an Associate's degree in Welding Technologies is a plus.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
