Job Title: Welder/Fabricator

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding, fabrication, mechanical assembly, and installation tasks in accordance with safety standards, quality guidelines, and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of piping, welding, and fabrication equipment, and be comfortable performing tasks both in-shop and on-site.
Responsibilities:
Comply with all customer, company policies, and safety rules.Perform welding on fused pipe (HDPE), glued pipe (PVC, CPVC), and threaded pipe.Interpret P&ID, flow schematics, skid fabrication drawings, and other technical documents.Perform mechanical assembly tasks such as mounting equipment, instrumentation, and tank internals.Use welding and fabrication equipment, including torches, cutting tools, track burners, band saws, lathe, drill press, and mills.Perform painting tasks including surface preparation, degreasing, and painting.Maintain shop and equipment by performing regular repairs, clean-up, and participating in safety meetings.Perform confined space entry and wear a respirator as required.Have and maintain your own hand tools and toolbox.Perform installation and start-up services both on-site and off-site.Travel as needed for out-of-town services and installation.Exercise multi-tasking skills to ensure shop efficiency.Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors for task coordination.Follow job-related instructions and perform additional tasks as requested.Ensure punctuality and preparedness for each shift.Skills:
Proficient in welding (MIG, TIG, stainless steel pipe welding).Experience with fused and glued pipe welding (HDPE, PVC, CPVC).Skilled in pipe fitting, fabrication, and assembly.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&ID, and schematics.Familiar with operating tools such as torches, band saws, lathes, drill presses, and mills.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.Comfortable performing painting and surface prep tasks.Ability to work in confined spaces and follow strict safety protocols.Physical Requirements:
Regularly lift, carry, and push/pull 30-50 lbs.Occasionally lift, carry, and push/pull 50+ lbs.Stand, walk, and climb regularly.Ability to hear and diagnose machine variations.Visual acuity for reading prints, gauges, and inspection instruments.Qualifications & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.Trade School certification preferred but not required.Basic math skills and familiarity with measuring instruments.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Forklift operation experience is a plus.Experience Level:
Intermediate level with a focus on welding, fabrication, and assembly in industrial settings.
