**Job Title: Welder and Fabricator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to join our team. You will be responsible for welding on stainless steel and aluminum for internal car wash components. This role involves short-run production welding, with orders ranging from 20 to 100 pieces before moving on to new projects. We are looking for candidates who can 'flat' weld steel and aluminum together, and we can teach you roll welding from a pole to base piece. You will be working with materials ranging from 3/8" to 1/2" thickness. During downtime, you may be asked to cut future materials on a band saw. **Responsibilities** + Maintain company work standards + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics + Take pride in the quality of your work and servicing customers + Work closely with other team members to accurately fulfill customer orders on time + Maintain a clean and organized work environment + Perform inventory cycle counts and provide other area support as needed + Continuously identify, measure, follow, and improve area processes + Housekeeping as it applies to the job or work area + Other duties as assigned **Essential Skills** + 3 years of MIG welding on stainless steel (ability to weld stainless steel from 1/8" to 1/2" thickness) + Fitting and fabrication experience + Experience converting decimals to fractions (a chart is available at workstations) + Experience using a flat disk and chipper tools to grind down welds + Blueprint reading (ability to view symbols to assemble components together) + Own weld helmet and gloves **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + TIG welding experience (occasional tasks on the job) **Why Work Here?** We offer a genuine work-life balance with a supportive supervisor who doesn't micromanage. You can expect to work 40-45 hours per week. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
