**Job Title: Welder and Fitter** **Job Description** Join our dynamic team as a skilled Welder and Fitter! Your expertise in selecting the right equipment, planning part layouts, and executing tasks according to engineering production drawings will be crucial. If you're passionate about precision and craftsmanship, we want to hear from you! **Responsibilities** + Weld large parts using a 16" weld wire size + Read and interpret blueprints + Build parts and perform layouts + Select equipment and plan part layouts: cut, fit material, tack material, and weld according to engineering production drawings + Layout workpieces per drawing without guidance or current part fixtures + Read and use a tape measure, compass, micrometer, mag level, protractor, versa gauge, and caliper + Perform welding without the use of fixtures + Fit up materials/components/products per blueprints/job specifications within quality standards and allotted routing time + Set up and adjust machines and equipment to produce products that meet tolerance and quality standards **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in blueprint reading + Welding skills with large parts and 16" weld wire size + Experience in fitting and layout welding + Ability to read and use measuring instruments such as tape measure, compass, micrometer, mag level, protractor, versa gauge, and caliper **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in fabrication + Ability to work independently without guidance + Strong attention to detail **Why Work Here?** Join our team and be part of a company that values precision and quality. The position typically involves day shifts with 8-hour workdays. The facility is equipped with the necessary machines and equipment to produce high-quality products within tolerance standards. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Eureka, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
