The positions within a Welder are responsible for assembling parts together. The employee sets up various parts for the welding process such as drilling, grinding, and welding. The employee must be able to weld sheet metal. The employee must be able to read blue prints and schematic diagrams. They must maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Essential Functions
Communicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe working environmentFollow written and verbal instructions to complete tasksUnderstand and review work orders, diagrams, check lists, and blue printsSet up parts for the welding processGrind, drill, cut, clamp, caulk, tack weld, bench weld and/or sub welds. May also assemble parts.Weld sheet metal materialsApply measurements to parts and equipmentUse and operate hand and power toolsAbility to lift up to 35lbs; >35 lbs requires two team members, and >59 lbs requires a lift device.Operate a crane/hoist for heavy liftingAssist co-workers with heavy lifting of partsUnderstand the differences in parts and toolsWork required hours and have an excellent attendance recordWork overtime as neededSweep and clean shop areaMaintain a clean and safe working environmentMarginal Work Functions

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or 6 months of related work experienceProficient in MIG welding on steel and aluminum as demonstrated by an on-site weld skills testPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
