Overview ... Fabricators are tasked fitting, setting, and installing fabricated structures; cutting and welding with a variety of processes; metal forming, bending, and finishing; and repair, design, and layout. The Opportunity ... Essential Responsibilities: Stainless Steel TIG Welding down to 18ga. Thickness Stainless Steel MIG Welding down to 16ga. Thickness Purge Welding Able to Arc/Stick weld carbon and/or stainless steel down to 1/8” thickness Handle all ranges of Non-Complex to Complex Welding of fabricated parts Complete understanding of the requirements related to all fit up assignments Ability to straighten fabricated members Ability to create shop fixtures as needed without supervision. Above average skills related to the Shear, Break, Punch and other fabrication related equipment Ability to operate the notcher, press and saws (All types) Able to debur and perform other surface finishes, including polishing Can handle and operate standard Fabrication hand tools, ie. Drills, grinders,etc. Requires no training assistants from fellow Level II or below fabricators Ability to read and understand Complex Mechanical Fabrication Drawings and BOM Must be able to perform Complex Layout and Fit Up skills Must Clock in and out of Jobs and Work Orders to keep accurate labor hours Assist other shops as needed Assist fabrication supervisor in his absence Capable of looking up Work Order related information in Navision Communicate as needed with the Engineering Department Able to train Entry Level, Level I and Level II fabricators Keep working area organized and clean Other activities required as needed to meet the required ship dates Must be willing and capable of working overtime as needed Why work at JBT ...
