**Job Title: Welder**
**Job Description**
The main responsibility of a welder/fitter is to assemble and weld aluminum and stainless steel trailers, and/or sub-assemblies. The role involves layout and positioning parts according to a set of specifications and welding in various positions such as flat, horizontal, overhead, and vertical. Proficiency in blueprint interpretation and MIG welding on aluminum is essential. You may have to work at heights up to 15ft. and possibly in confined spaces.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble and weld aluminum and stainless steel trailers and/or sub-assemblies.
+ Layout and position parts according to a set of specifications.
+ Weld in various positions such as flat, horizontal, overhead, and vertical.
+ Interpret blueprints accurately.
+ Perform MIG welding on aluminum.
+ Work at heights up to 15ft. and in confined spaces.
**Essential Skills**
+ MIG welding on aluminum.
+ Blueprint interpretation.
+ Proficiency with a tape measure (will be tested).
+ Ability to pass a weld test (horizontal, vertical, overhead passes on aluminum plates).
+ Capability to crawl under trucks, weld on backs, and climb in and on trailers.
+ Must have welding certifications if lacking field experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in fabrication.
+ Ability to work in confined spaces.

**Work Environment**
You will be working on the 1st shift, Monday through Thursday (10-hour shifts) and Friday (5-hour shift), totaling 45 hours weekly. You can choose either a 6 am - 4 pm or 5 am - 3 pm schedule, but cannot change start times unless it's on Fridays for overtime. The pay range is $21-$23/hr with the potential to earn a $3 increase in the first year based on attendance and performance. Evaluations are conducted at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year, with the potential for up to a $1 raise at each evaluation. Additional raises may be given based on performance. Perfect attendance and production bonuses up to $500/month are also available. The work environment is very clean, with 120 employees on the manufacturing floor, and it takes 17 days to complete one trailer.
