Job Title: Welder & Fabricator on Day Shift 20-27$HRLY

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder & Fabricator for a custom job shop. The ideal candidate will have experience with fabrication machinery, including shears, presses, drilling/tapping, and the ability to read mechanical blueprints and welding symbols. This position will be a day shift ideally M-F and starting wage will be 20-27$HRLY. Those will be required to completed a weld test which will dictate starting wage. Anyone with programming experience and is certified in Mastercam may be eligible for cross-training and a higher wage.

ResponsibilitiesPerform welding and fitting tasks in a custom job shop environment.Utilize fabrication machinery such as shears, presses, and drilling/tapping equipment.Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and welding symbols.Operate plate shears, ironworkers, drilling and tapping operations, plate burning equipment, plasma cutting, and handheld oxygen/acetylene torches.Use fabrication hand tools, including drills, grinders, cutting tools, squares, and levels.Safely operate overhead cranes and utilize rigging techniques.Operate lift trucks up to 8000 pounds safely and efficiently.Read and understand fabrication drawings and CAD drawings.Assist in the preparation of equipment for painting and assembly for shipping.Conduct testing of equipment and assist with installation at customer sites.Perform other duties required in daily production.Essential SkillsProficiency in SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding processes in all positions.Experience with metal fabrication and MIG welding.Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and welding symbols.Knowledge and use of fabrication techniques for custom machinery and projects.Proficiency in operating various fabrication machinery and hand tools.Understanding and safe use of overhead cranes and rigging techniques.Proficiency in the use of lift trucks up to 8000 pounds.Ability to read and understand fabrication and CAD drawings.Additional Skills & QualificationsCertification in welding processes may be required for some projects.Experience in the preparation of equipment for painting and assembly for shipping.Experience in testing and installation of equipment at customer sites.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a custom job shop environment with access to state-of-the-art fabrication machinery and tools. Standard safety protocols and equipment are provided, including overhead cranes and lift trucks. The position may require working with heavy machinery and materials, and adherence to safety standards is mandatory. Dress code includes appropriate protective gear and attire for welding and fabrication tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PHILOMATH, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
