**MIG Welder** **Job Description** This role involves MIG welding, fabricating using plasma cutters and drills, and installing parts onto heavy-duty trucks and tractors. The position primarily requires heavy gauge welding. You will be working in a one-bay shop with older equipment and assisting with various shop tasks as needed. We are looking for someone who is motivated, ambitious, and willing to contribute beyond just welding duties. **Responsibilities** + Perform MIG welding on heavy gauge steel using wire feed. + Fabricate parts using plasma cutters and drills. + Install parts onto heavy-duty trucks and tractors. + Assist with various tasks around the shop as needed. + Maintain a high level of attendance and reliability. **Essential Skills** **& Qualifications** + 2+ years of experience in heavy steel welding. + Proficiency in heavy gauge steel MIG welding. + Experience using a plasma torch. + Experience using an acetylene torch. + Experience with common tools and various fabrication tools such as plasma cutters and drills. + Mechanical experience with hydraulics is a plus. + Experience with truck installations and wiring. + Custom fabrication experience preferred. + Strong work ethic and a motivated, go-getter attitude. **Work Environment** Our newly moved shop down the road is much bigger and cleaner, with four additional bays that are clean, insulated, and heated/air-controlled. Currently, there are 8-10 employees, and we are continuing to grow. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
