Welder/Fitter

Summary: Seeking experienced Welder/Fitter for technical operations involving layout, assembly, and welding based on engineering drawings.

Job Requirements:

AWC certification required

Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a fitter welder

At least 5 years of GMAW (MIG) welding experience

Own reliable transportation

Able to lift 50 lbs.

Pass welding test and become certified within 6 months

Preferred Skills:

Experience with 5S and lean manufacturing

Job Responsibilities:

Select equipment and plan part layout; cut, fit material, tack material, and weld as per drawings

Analyze engineering drawings to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations

Fit materials/components/products per blueprints/job specifications within quality standards and allotted time

Set up, adjust machines, and equipment to produce quality products within tolerance levels

Perform quality tests, certifications, and production checks as required by Quality Assurance

Operate overhead crane and forklift equipment safely

Use various tools including mag-drill, punch press, horizontal saw, plasma cutter, carbon arc gouging tools safely

Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions

Maintain clean and orderly work area

Observe all safety and security procedures

Ensure no delays in scheduled production

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor



Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
