Under limited supervision, will be welding and joining materials together in a Manufacturing Environment. Will assemble products, utilizing knowledge of working characteristics of metallic materials, and layout techniques, using hand tools, machines, and equipment using blueprints and shop drawings. Will perform any other duties as assigned. Must have experience with Mig and Tig for galvanized, aluminum and steel.
Responsibilities:
The Associate will work in a safe manner while wearing the appropriate safety equipment and reporting any unsafe condition or act.The Associate will be responsible for their area of the Shop for housekeeping and organization and will utilize clean up time assigned at the end of each day to do so. The Associate will be on the job as scheduled for start, stop and break times and accurately fill out the proper information on a Job Slip at the end of each day.The Associate will conduct themselves according to the Policies of the Company as provided in the Handbook including attendance, smoking, breaks, clean up, vacation, PTO, cell phones, etc.Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years Mig, Stick and Arc welding experienceTig/Heliarc (Aluminum) Experience preferred.Fabrication/Layout Experience a plus.Ability to read blueprints/shop drawings to form pieces/assemblyUse of all presses, hand and power tools and read a tape measureBasic Math & Measurement aptitudeProblem solving skillsAble to up to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.Criminal Background Check & Drug screenDiploma/GEDPre-employment ScreeningAble to perform repetitive tasks; high physical activityAble to bend, kneel, stoop, stand, reach, climb, twist and/or crawlNot afraid of heightsAble to pass a weld testGood communication skills (read, write, speak, listen and understand work instructions).
