WELDER JOURNEYMAN
Overview

A Journeyman Welder at Weatherford will be responsible for providing the welding capability and expertise for working on a rotational basis in both the Fabrication and Pump shop within PC Pump. Welders are also responsible for providing day-to-day support to other areas of the Business relating to day-to-day welding repairs/ equipment breakdowns and retrofits as required. 

Responsibilities Perform all welding duties related to Weatherford PC Pump and Fabrication activities Fabricate brackets, components for mounting, and use in the Drive assembly area Weld tag bars, tag bar pins as directed by Lead Hand in Pump shop or Drives Manager Handle miscellaneous day-to-day plant repairs, breakdowns, and welding for related Business Units Work on specialty welding assignments with capability and expertise Comply with all Weatherford safety regulations, company policies, and competency in using related equipment Support and follow continuous process and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring quality workmanship Participate in required training programs and provide feedback on quality, safety, security, and environmental issues Requirements Certified journeyman welder with demonstrated competence in Mig and SMAW welding processes Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment, and interact with personnel across different sections Capability to work shift work, overtime, and rotate through Pump and Fabrication shops Safety-minded individual, committed to receiving mandatory safety training as a condition of employment Attention to detail and ability to read blueprints/diagrams of components not yet built
