**Job Title: Welder Machine Operator** **Job Description** Under general supervision, the Fabricator I is responsible for producing high-quality fabricated parts utilizing various fabrication equipment. **Responsibilities** + Produce high-quality fabricated parts using various fabrication equipment. + Read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English. + Carry out verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English. + Adhere to safety protocols, including good housekeeping and ergonomics practices. + Participate in workplace organization and follow training procedures, including cross-training and teamwork. + Maintain attention to detail and uphold safety and quality standards. + Learn new processes, systems, and equipment. + Document work accurately and maintain basic preventative maintenance. + Collaborate with team members in a diverse setting and participate in cross-functional teams. + Resolve conflicts and contribute to team improvement. + Demonstrate motivation to grow, learn, and progress to the next level in skills. **Essential Skills** + Ability to meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends. + Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English. + Ability to carry out verbal instructions and communicate effectively in English. + Adherence to safety protocols and good housekeeping practices. + Attention to detail. + Ability to learn new processes, systems, and equipment. + Skills in documentation, team concepts, and basic preventative maintenance. + Teamwork and conflict resolution skills. + Motivation to grow, learn, and progress in skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED preferred. + Experience in manufacturing preferred. + Ability to operate basic fabrication equipment required. + Quality training, incoming part quality, gage plan completion, and proper part loading. **Why Work Here?** We offer opportunities for growth and development in a collaborative and diverse work environment. Job demands include prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and/or crawling. May require reaching, pushing, or pulling to accomplish job tasks. Requires hand grasp ability and coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot. Must meet cognitive demands, including visual and auditory discrimination/memory, reading ability, independent decision-making, and retention of specific knowledge. May be exposed to loud noises. Requires the operation of machinery and use of safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection in designated areas. Proper respirators and other equipment may be required in the paint booth area. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Portage, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
