Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Work Hours: 7:00am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday (40hrs + 5hrs overtime per week)

Experience: 4 years of MIG Welding

Position Summary:

The Welder is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

Analyze, read, and interpret blueprints and work instructions to take and/or read measurements to plan layouts and procedures.Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.Weld components using welding equipment in various positions like vertical and horizontal.Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material.Inspect workpieces to verify conformity with quality standards and specifications.Monitor the welding process to ensure consistent quality and make adjustments to maintain optimal weld integrity.Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage of welding equipment, tools, and materials.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.4 years of welding experienceExperience in the manufacturing industry is desired.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Required Skills:

Strong attention to detail with ability to focus on a given task.Enthusiastic about learning new skills and technology.Effective time-management tactical approach to work prioritization.Commitment to continued development through the Strong Standard Program.Read, speak, and write the English language.Good communication skills.

Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for a bonus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
