**Position Title: Welder/Wire Process Operator**

AGI is a global company publicly traded in Canada, and we are expanding! We currently have over 100 employees operating out of 200,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Nobleford, Alberta ( **approx. 20 mins north of Lethbridge** ) and will be adding multiple positions as part of our expansion. We manufacture Westeel petroleum storage tanks and are Canada’s largest manufacturer of grain aeration and natural air grain drying equipment.
**The Opportunity**
We are actively seeking multiple **Welders/Wire Process Operators** to join our manufacturing team within our facility in **Nobleford, Alberta** (approx. 20 mins north of Lethbridge). Training and mentorship are available for individuals looking to start their career in Welding!
**The Team**
The role will report to the Production Supervisor.
**Responsibilities**
+ Build welded assemblies for new products and changes to existing products per engineering documents and established production standards
+ Operate other necessary equipment and performing tasks necessary to complete parts to specifications
+ Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements i.e. continual improvements
+ Review of finished assemblies & parts to ensure accuracy against drawings & BOMs
+ Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required
+ Participate in safety program, department meetings, and other plant policies and initiatives
+ Work in confined space
+ Other duties as assigned
**Qualification**
+ Motivated candidates with previous welding experience and/or education
+ Ability and interest to gain CWB certification in Sub Arc Welding, as well as MIG and Flux Core in the flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions as required
+ Proven ability to work safely
+ Able to work in fast paced environment handling heavy loads and standing for long periods of time
+ Able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds repeatedly
+ Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces
+ Familiarity with the use of Jigs & fixtures
+ Attention to detail, problem solving, and communication skills
+ Ability to read, understand and follow blueprints and welding symbols
+ Exemplary attendance record
