Job details Spherion Staffing in Lakeland has partnered with a local manufacturing facility who is looking to add a skilled welder to their growing team.

Responsibilities:
- Analyzing blueprints and designs
- Finding the right pieces of metal according to the design
- Following all safety and health procedures to avoid accidents and hazards ... - Choosing the best equipment to weld specific metals
- Identifying issues and hazards
- Operating angle grinders and other tools
- Lining up specific metal components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills:
- Knowledge of standard weld symbols
- knowledge of weld grinding and polishing techniques
- Knowledge of blueprints and layout work

Education:
Trade

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-2 years Trades training and/or minimum one year experience in an industrial environment
- Ability to perform TIG welding on thin gauge stainless steel material
- Ability to purge weld stainless steel tubing to provide sanitary quality weld
- Ability to perform MIG welding on a variety of materials including aluminum, stainless steel and mild steel
