Responsibilities:
Job Duties Include, but not limited to:

Performs flat fillet welds
Fits and welds simple assemblies
Accurately measures within specified tolerances
Reads blueprints
May operate automatic welding equipment (robotic welding)
Observes all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required records.
Follows all safety rules and practices.
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:
Weld Shop Skills Strongly Preferred:

Ability to use and proficient with a hand plasma unit. (We use hand units in a production setting)
Familiar with dial calipers, digital degree finder.
Ability to use heavy equipment such as brake press, band saw.
Ability to read other units of measurement (decimals, millimeters).
Familiar with jib hoists.
Familiar with robotic welding.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Weld Shop Candidate Requirements:

D1.1 Fillet weld test. (Must pass visual and break test)
Ability to read a tape measure.
Basic understanding of weld symbols.
Ability to recognize basic weld defects: porosity, undercut, and overlap.
Ability to use hand tools, grinders, die files, chipping hammer,
Ability to adjust weld settings per WPS.
Basic math skills.
Great hand-eye coordination.
