Summary: Seeking a Welding Engineer with experience in resistance welding and familiarity with FANUC robotics for maintenance and project management in automotive manufacturing.
Job Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Welding Engineering or Welding Technologist program preferred.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in resistance welding within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with projection, resistance, and GMAW welding processes.
Ability to work on designated shifts (A-Shift: Mon-Fri 5:15AM to 5:15PM or C-Shift: Fri-Sat 5AM to 5PM & Sun-Mon 5PM to 5AM).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with FANUC robots or similar welding robotics systems.
Project management skills from quoting phase through commissioning and production.
Capability to manage vendors and direct projects towards successful implementation.
Job Responsibilities:
Drive customer specifications adherence for mechanical designs including welders, robots, conveyance, and transfer systems.
Support production personnel in root cause analysis and resolution of throughput, quality, and cost challenges.
Provide direction on weld application during process development for line optimization while maintaining weld specifications.
Lead continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing weld quality.
Evaluate weld documentation and test results for compliance with customer specifications.
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
